“ Close to 5 stars. Very near Jonker walk! perfect for breakfast! Has a wide variety of coffees here which was very tasty and toasty too! Food wise pretty normal. I had the Roti Canai. While my girlfriend had the toast and bread set. Atmosphere and surrounding deco was Recommend to try if staying nearby, confirm better then hotel breakfast ”
“ Mmm. The service is ok only given they use QR scan for customers to take their own order. Only service is when they bring the food to the customers. Nostalgic deco and warm atmosphere, but the seating is not comfortable. Table is too close to the cabin stool. Food - nasi lemak is ok and I quite like it. However, the chicken chop is pretty bad on the meat. It’s not fresh. The sauce is too sweet… Drink - I ordered a state coffee but the taste of it doesn’t taste too local and very thin flavour. I’ll visit again for their other food and coffee still given there’s many options to choose. ”
“ We dropped by this cafe for some coffee and nyonya laksa. The decor is very creative, a mix of retro and art. Chairs were comfortable and the staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee from 13 states of Malaysia are on offer. The Selangor and Kedah coffee was good as was nyonya laksa. A nice place for local coffee around Jonker Walk. ”
“ Revisited them 2 years later. Unique concept of trying different states coffee and there is a difference in taste indeed. Kopi o kosong tasted nicer and stronger/roasted than the perek kopi c kosong Ice but personal preference. Like how it looks so frothy despite being a kopi o. Didn't realise this but the sweet sago dessert is a FANTASTIC combination with the bitter kopi o kosong, nicely contrasting :D ”
“ ᴄᴀʟᴀɴᴛʜᴇ ᴀʀᴛ ᴄᴀꜰᴇ - If you’re a coffee lover wandering the colorful streets of Melaka, Calanthe Art Cafe is one of those rare gems that feels like a secret you’re glad to discover. I dropped by for a mid-afternoon caffeine fix and was completely charmed. Not just by the coffee, but the whole vibe of the place. They serve coffee from all 13 Malaysian states (how cool is that?), and I tried two different blends. Each had its own distinct character, nuanced, rich, and full of stories in every sip. My pick? The Melaka and Sabah blends. The café itself is like stepping into an art journal. The walls are covered in hand-painted murals, eclectic decor spills into every corner, and the space pulses with creativity. It’s cozy, bohemian, and slightly chaotic in the best way, like an artist’s dream studio turned into a coffee haven. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. I didn’t come for the food this time, but honestly, this is a spot I’d return to just for the coffee and ambiance. A must-visit for anyone into coffee culture, cozy nooks, and artistic vibes. Come for the brew, stay for the atmosphere. ”
“ What's good for dinner? This place packs some real good dishes, be it enjoyed individually or by sharing. Ordered the Calanthe Laksa Noodle Soup, Curry Laksa, Signature Laksa, Creamy Curry Butter Chicken, Tom yum. Also a Western meal to add to our degustation. Interesting 13 States Coffee for your preferential enjoyment. Good ambience and apt for those who likes to photograph and share online. ”
“ Loved the ambience of the place. It's filled with many collectable items. Rather eccentric, but I loved the vibes. Food was tasty. I loved my curry laksa. My nephew enjoyed his buttermilk chicken. The starters were awesome, too. We had the popcorn chicken and vegetable samosas. Overall, I like this place. Highly recommended. ”
“ Excellent coffee. The kelantan brew was really strong and smooth. The pineapple tart was delicious and was served warm. Very friendly service. ”
